LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE CITY WAREHOUSES

Compare materials, dimensions, construction and packing before requesting a wholesale quote.

Start with the job, not just the material name

For U.S. general-industry PPE programs, OSHA requires employers to assess workplace hazards and select suitable equipment. A purchasing specification should follow that assessment. A fabric name or garment weight alone is not evidence of protection against a particular chemical, exposure or task.

Describe the garment precisely

Record the material, fabric weight, collar or hood, wrist and ankle finish, boot attachments, seam construction and front closure. Two coveralls with similar fabric descriptions can have different construction details. Compare a physical sample with the specification you intend to order.

Confirm dimensions across the size range

Ask for garment dimensions and a sizing chart rather than relying only on labels such as XL or 2XL. Check the chest, length and any measurements that affect movement. If workers wear the garment over clothing, evaluate that use with a sample.

Specify the order and replenishment details

State units per case, required case quantity, delivery destination, preferred shipping window and whether the product is for recurring supply. Ask the supplier to confirm stock location and lead time for the specific item.

Use one comparable request

A useful request includes the application, material, construction, size mix, colors, case pack and expected volume. If a protective performance claim is required, ask for documentation that matches the selected product and intended exposure.
